With the trade name Allianz Commercial Allianz Group brings together the large corporate insurance business of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) and the commercial insurance business of national Allianz Property & Casualty entities serving mid-sized companies.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty consists of the globally operating company Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, registered in Munich, Germany, and is embedded in a network of various branches and companies in Europe, North and South America, Asia and South Africa.

This combination of Allianz Commercial offices, Allianz Group offices and selected network partners allows us to service clients wherever they do business in more than 200 countries.

Background and history

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty was created in 2006 by merging the various Allianz entities operating as Allianz Global Risks and Allianz Marine & Aviation into one global unit, focusing on large corporate and industrial client business, and on specialty business lines such as marine and aviation.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE was founded as "Hanseatische Seeversicherungs-Gesellschaft" on July 28, 1885.

The Allianz Commercial trade name was first announced in March 2023.
